Ryan Air’s CEO Michael O’Leary “Best Of”
The Guardian published yesterday a “Best of” O’Leary. Worth reading.
My favourites:
On the best way to settle his differences with Aer Rianta
With Semtex… preferably during a board meeting (2000)
On travel agents
Take the f**kers out and shoot them (2003)
You find them all here.

For Ryanair to consider charging for bathroom use is a violation of human rights. No one should consider purchasing a ticket on Ryanair until they reduce their CEO pay and fund the use of the toilets! Next they will consider genocide to fund their use of Jet fuel and they will charge their poor customers by the minute for jet fuel or let the engines stop in midair. Profite for ethics!
Interesting opinion. Well - at least here in germany it is usual to pay for using public restrooms. Anyway - don’t get him wrong - he loves to make such jokes.
Yes, in Germany paying to fund the bathroom is to be expected. You leave your house, you are on foot its to be expected to pay for a bathroom stop. On the air, you have paid the airplane ticket, you are at the “hospitality of your host…that you have paid to carry you.” They need to fund the bathroom expense! As they fund the engine run, the pilot wages and airport fees, the airline is expected to pay for maintaining the bathrooms!
